Method and arrangement for monitoring a current-value transmitter

In a method for monitoring an actual-value transmitter of an actuating device, especially for power control of an internal combustion engine, an output voltage which is a function of the position of the actuating device within a prescribed range being delivered by the current-value transmitter, signals which depend on which of several partial regions of the actuating region the actuating device is are derived independently of the generation of the output voltage. The value of the respectively delivered output voltage is compared with desired values which are stored for the limits of that partial region, to which the respectively derived test signals are assigned.
