The invention comprises a process and a device for steering a vehicle provided with turnable wheels 14 and with an articulation 13, especially a tractor, so that the articulation-based steering and the turnable-wheels- based steering are arranged to work together through the use of one or more control members, like a steering wheel 2a or a pedal 2b. The device entails a steering centre 7 and a selection centre 10, by which a number of different combinations of simultaneously occurring articulation steering and turnable-wheels-based steering can be chosen. The invention is characterized in that it can advantageously be realized with the vehicle whose turnable wheels are substantially smaller in their diameter than the other wheels. <IMAGE>
