<p>A drying and mixing plant for producing a bituminous paving mixture comprises a rotatable drying and mixing drum (10) divided into a first and a second section by an annular partition wall. The inclination of the drum axis may be altered by means of a hydraulic cylinder, whereby the plant (with a small inclination angle) may be used for continuous operation, and (with a substantially horizontal drum axis) is able to treat two or more substantially separate material portions of different compositions in the drum at the same time. In production, a first portion of an aggregate is supplied to the first section, while a further component is introduced to the second section, whereafter the first portion after drying is transferred to the second section and is mixed with the further component, while a new second portion of aggregate (separated from the first portion) is supplied to the first section.</p> |
