PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a transmission distance, while improving the picture quality of video signal to be transmitted between a camera and a camera control unit(CCU). SOLUTION: A control signal for notifying the insertion of ND filter or the like into a camera, called 'income' signal to be exchanged on a communication line such as a telephone line 'income', compressed video signal and audio signal are transmitted from the camera to a CCU, a control signal for adjusting the lightness of camera or the like, income signal and a return signal such as a compressed image photographed by the other camera or the like are transmitted from the CCU to the camera, and the video signal and the return signal are transmitted while multiplexing their frequency on an identical frequency band in time division manner. |
