A stapler having a staple guide passage (15) includes an elongated molding (10) for assembly into the stapler. The molding comprises a body section (11) at one end, a trigger section (13) presenting a trigger at opposite end, and a handle section (12) interconnecting the body and the trigger sections. The trigger presents a body aperture sufficiently wide for the body section. The handle section, in use forming a pistol grip by which the stapler is held, includes a portion which can be flexed to permit the trigger to be brought forwardly over the front end of the body section and the body section can be inserted into the aperture so that the trigger extends obliquely to the body section.
