PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably store log data in a storage unit before power supply to a communication module is cut off triggered by removal of the communication module from an information apparatus.SOLUTION: A removal detection device comprises a switch 29 that operates before an optical transceiver is electrically disconnected from a server 1. On the basis of the operation of the switch 29, a CPU 22 performs power reception stop processing of storing log data in an EEPROM 28 and then stopping power reception from the server 1. This allows the log data to be reliably stored in the EEPROM 28 before power supply to the optical transceiver is cut off triggered by the removal of the optical transceiver from the server 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
