The grab is used for lifting, picking up, handling materials for construction work or all kind of solid materials of proper width. The grab includes grasping portion (1) having L-shaped members (5,5') pierced with connecting holes (8,8'), (9,9') upper members (6,6) mounted with chanin sprockets, and lower members (7,7) mounted with grasping blocks (12,12'); width controlling portion (2) having L- shped section type width controlling members (13,13') with multi pin- fixing holes (15), and supported-fixing part (14,14') on both sides of lower plate (21); supported-working portion (3) including (21) connected with crosswise member (20) and midum member (26), (26) fixed with reinforcing member (25) having a fixed bracket (22); lifting portion (4) fixed at top of upper member (27).
