PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear magnetic resonance coil configuration introduced by means of particularly simple technical means, such that a high-frequency B field profile, which is as rectangular as possible and is particularly steep on both sides, can be generated preferably for high-resolution NMR spectroscopy, particularly of liquids.SOLUTION: A nuclear magnetic resonance coil configuration includes at least one flat or cylindrical coil (18) through which current flows in operation. The coil generates a high-frequency magnetic Bfield at a location of a sample (16) oriented parallel to an x-axis, and is connected to at least two electrical feeder lines (11), through which in-phase currents flow in operation, in order to be connected to a tuning network. The at least two electrical feeder lines generate, in the sample (16), a high-frequency magnetic Bfield oriented in a direction at an angle α with the direction of the B1 field. The angle α is defined as: α=180° ±Δα, where Δα<90°. Such a configuration allows for generating a Bfield profile that is as rectangular as possible and is particularly steep on both sides.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3a |
