PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for absorbing radioactive materials capable of sufficiently preventing an operator from being exposed to radiation emitted from radioactive materials absorbed by an absorbent.SOLUTION: A device for absorbing radioactive materials comprises an absorbent 10 for absorbing radioactive materials and a storage container 20 containing the absorbent 10 so as to confine it therein. The device for absorbing radioactive materials is configured to bring water A to be treated containing radioactive materials into contact with the absorbent 10 by supplying the water A to be treated into the storage container 20. The storage container 20 is formed by a material for shielding radiation, and has a partition plate 23 disposed to partition an inner space thereof into an upper side and a lower side. In the partition plate 23, a plurality of holes 23a are formed through which the water A to be treated passes. The storage container 20 is configured so that the water A to be treated supplied into a space under the partition plate 23 passes through the plurality of holes 23a, and moves upward to come into contact with the absorbent 10 arranged in the upper side of the partition plate 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
