The screw clamp may be used in building work. It consists of an arm (12) with a flat end (30) and an integral upstand (14) The upstand and arm end form the back of the clamp against which the movable jaw (24) can be screwed. The movable jaw (24) has a screw spindle (20) in line with it connected to a handle (22) which enables it to be turned. The movable jaw is mounted on a side arm (18) which may be moved along a profiled rail (16) when the movable jaw is released. USE/ADVANTAGE - The screw clamp can grip objects and simultaneously align them with fixed features such as a door lining with a wall.
