<p>PURPOSE: A disk brake is provided to reduce noise by equalizing the pressure deviation by moving a piston by forming an opening portion on a cover shim. CONSTITUTION: A disk brake comprises a disc, a pair of pad plates, a carrier, a caliper housing, and a cover shim(150). The disk is rotated with the wheel of a vehicle. The pair of the pad plates is installed in the both sides of the disk and a friction pad is attached the contact portion of the pad plate and a disk. The carrier is fixed in a vehicle body to support the pair of the pad plate. The caliper housing comprises a piston moved back and forth to pressurizing one of the pair of the pad plate. The cover shim is installed in the rear portion of the pad plate and comprises an opening(153). The opening is formed to move the center(C) of the pressure center of a piston when the cover shim and the piston are contacted.</p> |
