<p>A method of controlling the width of glass ribbon to be constant at the hot end of a float bath while vertically driving a tweel which adjusts the flow quantity of glass material flowing from a melting crucible to the float bath. A controlled variable of the tweel is determined using fuzzy inference from a specified control variable. The method is implemented by fuzzy inference means which uses fuzzy inference to determine from a specified control variable a manipulated variable of the tweel in the float ribbon width control device.</p> |
