摘要 |
[Problem] To improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency of a p-n junction solar cell by adding a minimum element thereto to widen the absorption wavelength range thereof. [Solution] Silicon nanoparticles which have a diameter of 5 nm or smaller and in which the surfaces have been terminated with molecules of a hydrocarbon are disposed on the outermost surface of the semiconductor which constitutes a p-n junction solar cell including silicon, etc. These silicon nanoparticles absorb the energy of ultraviolet light, and the energy is transferred to the p-n junction solar cell. Due to this, a combined solar cell which efficiently utilizes light ranging to the ultraviolet region without requiring the use of additional wiring or the like is obtained. |
