摘要 Yarn tension measurement equipment is applied to a machine on which yarn is handled. It has a spring component with facility to measure the displacement caused by pressure of the yarn on the free end of the flat spring. The direction of the movement of the yarn is in line with the blade of the spring. The polymer is pref. drawn from a melt (23) and extruded at the spinneret into multifilament (27) which is air cooled (28). The yarn (4) is surface treated (31) and guided through rollers. It is also drawn and orientated by the driven roller (33) coupled to the motor (M), which can be controlled to regulate the speed to determine the tension applied to the yarn (4) as it passes across the tension control unit (3). ADVANTAGE - The tension of the yarn is measured accurately at very high speeds, and this enables faults in the production line to be identified quickly.
