Equipment for pretreatment of metal parts by chemical solutions for subsequent enamel or powder coating with several treatment stations including at least one dip tank (5,6) and at least one continuous chain conveyor (13) holding the parts treated. The conveyor (13) is arranged for vertical movement of the parts (21) in and out of the dip tank (5,6) or tanks without additional handling equipment and at least one dip tank (5,6) is interchangable. USE/ADVANTAGE - The claimed equipment is used for chemical pretreatment of metal parts prior to enamel or powder coating. It is of relatively simple construction, reliable in operation and ensures effective pretreatment of metal parts. The interchangable arrangement of dip tanks permits process variation without the need for intermediate rinse operations or manual cleaning.
