The invention relates to a lock device for a bicycle, which comprises components which can be fitted and removed, which components, after they have been fitted, result in a bicycle lock which essentially cannot be cracked. Fitting takes place in the following way: an opening for the key is drilled at the intended location in the seat tube. Then, a shaped flanged cylinder with a locking groove is placed against and in the seat tube via the bracket housing, and the abovementioned cylinder is secured, by means of a steel spring, in its place in the seat tube or bracket housing. Then, the double-cylinder lock structure, together with the (extended) key belonging to the lock structure, is placed in the seat tube via the saddle pin opening, and the lock structure is locked in the locking groove, located in that area, of the flanged cylinder. Finally, the pedal axle is fitted with two (?) locking-pin openings in the bracket housing. It is then possible, via the key hole which has already been drilled, to countersink the locking pin of the double-cylinder lock structure in a locking-pin opening of the pedal axle. A bicycle lock which has been put in place in this or similar way is essentially impossible to break open. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, for example the key breaking, it is possible to unlock the lock structure from the flanged cylinder again by means of the (extended) spare key and to remove it via the saddle-pin opening. |
