The dryer (1) has a drum (3) for laundry items (22) to be dried, controller and a process air channel, in which a heater and fan are located. The heater is provided for heating the process air, where the fan is provided for conveying the process air. A Radio-frequency identificationreader unit (24,25,26) is provided for reading the information from a radio-frequency identification transponder (23). The radio-frequency identification transponder is placed in the drum. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a dryer. |
