PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an answering machine that can notify that there is a recording of a voice message according to a request from a caller (recording source).SOLUTION: According to the present invention, when an incoming call arrives, the answering machine responds automatically to the incoming call, starts recording a voice message from a caller. When the answering machine detects reception of a specific signal related to a predetermined alarm sounding time from the incoming call originator, the recording of the voice message from the caller is stopped and the voice message and the alarm sounding time are stored in association with each other. When the recorded alarm sounding time arrives, an alarm is sounded and it is notified that an unplayed voice message is recorded.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
