METHOD FOR PREPARATION OF SEA-ISLAND TYPE CONJUGATED FIBER

The copolyester of sea component is synthesized from aromatic dicarboxylic acid and ethylen glycol and 1-15 mole% of organo sulfonic acid metal salt and 0.1-15 wt.% of glycol compound of formula (I) and 1-50 eq. of hydroxide compound of formula (II) relative to 100 eq. of sulfonic acid metal salt and 0.01-0.3 wt.% of phosphorou compound of formula (III). The copolyester of sea component and polyester forming fiber of island component are spun in 5:5 - 1:9 ratio. The sea component is easily hydrolyzed by alkali treatment.
