System allowing the study of languages based on a compact disc reader. The basis of the invention is: an indexed audio compact disc, thus allowing fast reading at a specified and desired point in one or two seconds anywhere on the disc. It consists of a compact disc reader (1), in which is placed a compact disc (2) for listening, headphones (3) are connected directly to the compact disc reader (1), given that an electronic circuit (4) has been placed inside the compact disc reader. Thus the user can operate the apparatus as he pleases. The system according to the invention is particularly intended for the learning and study of languages in the school sector or in another sector. <IMAGE>
