The crusher comprises housings (10) having apertures closable by roller shutters (20) and/or doors (34,36), or opening panels. The latter are pref. coupled to the housing or its support structure, by hinges (18), joints or guide rails. The closing members are typically arranged on the long sides of the crusher. The housing may be opened only with the crusher at rest, or its drive may be stopped with the housing open. The opening locks of the closing members are released only with the crusher completely at rest, possibly with a time delay.
