The device has several cutting heads (13-15) movable against a workpiece using sawing blades (19,20,23,24). The unit has a sawing blade drive (11) and a drive (8-10,12) for the feed for the cutting heads. The feed drive is arranged as a common feed for the cutting heads and the simultaneous execution of a number of cuts. The feed drive incorporates a drive platform (12).
