PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a short message communication terminal and a short message communication system in which orthogonal codes of CDMA signals transmitted by a plurality of terminal devices are synchronized at a non-geostationary satellite in the case where the plurality of terminal devices access to a base station by use of CDMA by the orthogonal codes.SOLUTION: A short message communication system comprises: a base station for transmitting a forward link signal; a plurality of short message communication terminals for receiving the forward link signal transmitted by the base station and for transmitting a transmission signal including a short message as a return link signal to the base station; and a satellite for relaying communication between these plurality of short message communication terminals and the base station. The plurality of short message communication terminals synchronize generation timing of orthogonal codes by their orthogonal code generating units among the plurality of short message communication terminals from time information. |
