Process for producing precast concrete components eg. manhole ring

The process involves a removeable segment (30) of the wall core form (15) with holes (41-44), clamps (45-48) and common actuator (49) to accept and hold in place cast-in components esp. step irons (27) or reinforcing rings before casting. The removable segment is separated from the remainder of the base (23) core and outer forms (22) below floor level (6) and lifted into a position above floor level convenient for fixing the cast-in parts. The removeable segment is then lowered into position below floor level. After pouring and compaction the cast component is lifted from the forms. The removeable segment is separated and raised again for repetition of the procedure.
