In the material with a base coated with Ag halide (AgX) emulsion layer(s) contg. magenta coupler(s) (I) and other layer(s), (a) the other layer(s) is nearer the light source than the layer contg. (I) and contains a vinyl alcohol (co)polymer (II); and (b) the base is a biaxially oriented polyester film.
