The invention relates to novel dithiocarbazonic acid butenyl esters of the formula (I) in which R<1> is hydrogen or halogen, R<2> and R<3> are mutually independently possibly substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aminocarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, aryl, aralkyl, hetaryl or carboxyl or R<2> and R<3>, together with the carbon atom to which they are bonded, form a possibly substituted ring possibly containing oxygen, sulphur or nitrogen, in which the nitrogen may be substituted by alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or hetaryl, a process and intermediate products for their production and their use against animal pests.
