PURPOSE: To provide a silver halide color photosensitive material excellent in coupling activity and coloring property and excellent in the hue of a color image, humidity/heat fastness, light fastness, particularly light fastness at a low density section by containing a specific coupler in at least one layer on a base. CONSTITUTION: The coupler expressed by the formula I is contained in at least one layer on a base. In the formula I, Za indicates -C(R3 )= or -N=, Zb indicates -N= when Za is -C(R3 )=, and Zb indicates C(R3 )= when Za is -N=. R1 and R2 indicate the electron attracting group having the Hammett's substituent constantσp of 0.2-1.0 respectively, R3 indicates the hydrogen atom or substituent, X indicates the hydrogen atom or halogen atom, and at least one of R1 -R3 and X contains the group expressed by the formula II or formula III. In the formula II and formula III, L indicates the bivalent organic group, R4 indicates the hydrogen atom, fatty group, or aryl group, R5 indicates the fatty group, aryl group, or heterocyclic acyl group, R6 indicates hydrogen atom or the group expressed by R5 , and (m) and (n) indicate 0 or 1.
