FIELD: cotton growing. SUBSTANCE: method involves treating apical points of haploid cotton with 0.1% aqueous solution of colchicine; irradiating diploid seeds with gamma-quants for 25 sec, with charge intensity in working chamber 350 rhoentgen/sec; sowing treated seeds of seed families and selecting second generation elite plants. EFFECT: increased productivity of natural colored reddish brown fiber cotton, possessing bactericidal and other qualities in accordance with textile industry standards. |
