The present invention relates to a device for fixing to a support wall an element intended for example to carry or support articles exhibited in a display stand. The device is characterized in that it comprises a sleeve (3) integral with the element (2) and a tubular part (5) integral with the wall of the support (1) and wherein may be introduced with a reduced clearance the sleeve (3) whose extremity is conformed so as to be automatically and releasably locked in the part (5) to an anchoring element (7) of the part (5). The invention finds application particularly to the fabrication of display stands.
