Packing base with pattern of runners having quasi-folding symmetry and slanting sides

This packing base is suitable for e.g. containers, trays, pallets; esp. returnable containers. Its special new feature is the pattern of runners (2) on the contact surface, having a so-called quasi-folding symmetry about a central axis, pref. the longitudinal central axis (3). Runners on one half are offset regularly with respect to those on the other half. Thus, on notional folding of the first half about the axis onto the second half, runners of both halves inter-engage.
