FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to holographic diodrometry and may be used to measure refractive index of transparent and semi-transparent particles of dispersive media. For measurement of refractive index of particle examined medium is illuminated with coherent radiation, its actual image is constructed with the aid of optical system near photomaterial, hologram of this image is recorded, hologram is reconstructed and dispersive particle is reliably found in reconstructed holographic image by means of smooth refocusing of enlarging optical system as well as point of focusing of radiation refracted by particle, longitudinal coordinates of central section of particle and point of focusing of radiation refracted by it are measured as well as size of particle. Measured values are used to determine refractive index of particle of dispersive media. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of measurements.
