The butter dish has a drawer (4a) sliding on longitudinal guides (3) under the upper plate (1). There is a stop (2a) on the upper surface of the plate. The drawer has two U-shaped parts and the branches of the upper (7,8) and lower parts (5,6) are separated by different widths. The upper branch slides on the top of the plate and the lower branches slide under the plate to hold the pack of butter against the stop. The drawer can be turned over to hold a smaller pack of butter. A rectangular notch (10) in the back of the plate holds the back of the drawer.
