The appts. has a microcomputer for controlling the complete playing and function cycle. It also has a symbol memory device. The appts. may also include at least one extra win play device. The symbol play device and/or the extra play device has associated buttons and display fields which light up. The button and display fields are actuated by the player. The light-up buttons (7, 22-25,28) and display fields (9,12-14,16-21,27) have optical light elements (30,31) have an extremely short warm-up time to develop their full light intensity.
