Wind energy converter with pivotable rotor blades and return spring
摘要
The converter machine has a substantially horizontal rotor shaft pivotable about a vertical axis and carrying sixteen uniformly distributed radial blades (28), each of which is pivotable about a radial axis against a spring (41) tending to reduce the angle of attack. The pivot axis is positioned in relation to the cross-section of the blade so that wind speeds exceeding a predetermined limit give rise to a greater torque. Either the blade is moved rapidly to another final position until the wind speed falls, or the angle is reduced slightly and declines into the final position as wind speed rises.
