摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system identification device of a paper making machine, capable of easily setting a position correspondence between a point for measuring the quality of paper and a slice by the single operator in a papermaking factory. SOLUTION: This device has plural (N) operation ends arranged in the width direction of paper and the detection ends of plural measurement points (NM) placed in the width direction of the paper on the downstream sides of the operation ends, and is operated so as to define whether a specific operation end (I) corresponds to any place of detection ends (J). Therein, the system identification device is provided with a step-corresponding process for determining the deviation B(I, J); J=0, 1,..., NM-1} of profile before and after the operation of a specific operation end, a conversion process for performing the next wavelet conversion WB (I, m, n)=JΣm<-1/2>×h(j/m)×B(I, J+n) [h(x) is the nucleus of a wavelet conversion localized approximately within the width of the operation end on the peak position parameter as the center) for the deviation of the profile determined in the step-corresponding process, and a position correspondence-determining process for determining the combination of the spreading parameter (m) of the correspondence with a peak position parameter (n) giving the maximum value BMAX among the arithmetic values WB (I, m, n) of the conversion process.
