PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject material, comprising a mixture of a thermoplastic material with a specific coal ash, excellent in flame retardance, heat resistance and low cost properties without deteriorating performances of a simple plastic material and useful for a housing material, a cover, etc., of OA equipment. SOLUTION: This thermoplastic plastic material comprises a mixture of (A) >=18wt.% thermoplastic material such as polyethylene, polystyrene or polyethylene terephthalate with (B) 30-80wt.% coal ash, treated with a bonding accelerator such as vinyltriethoxysilane,γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane orγ- glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane and having 10-30μm average particle diameter and, as necessary, further (C) 0-20wt.% fibrous filler having >=2mm length (e.g. a glass fiber or a carbon fiber).
