The tool has notches incorporated into a profile helix so that the line of contact between the tool and tubular material is interrupted. The profile helix consists of three sections, and the outer contour line at the helix start and end runs smoothly. The helices located in between are provided with the notches. The profile helices in the area where the helix height is more or less equal to the wall thickness of the tubular material are approximately pointed, and the notch depth corresponds approximately to half the tube wall thickness.
