The compressor has an air inlet port (13) and an air outlet port (14). The inlet and outlet ports are arranged next to each other within a compression chamber cover (9). A connection device (17) is arranged on the compressor chamber cover. In an extension of the outlet is a connecting bush (18) for a pressure pipe. In an extension to the air inlet is a housing (21) for a filter element (22). An opening (27) allows for the filter to be removed. A connection piece (25) is provided for connection to the air supply which is arranged at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the chamber cover.
