The mixer has a container (1) with a central axle (3). A lid (23) is fixed to the upper edge (9) of the container by rollers (25) which allow the container to rotate with respect to the lid. A stirrer (35) is mounted in the lid and its upper end is fixed to a wheel (41) and a handle (45) which is turned to turn the stirrer. A turning plate (11) is put under the container to rotate it. The plate has a central projection (19) which engages in a hollow (21) in the base of the container to centre it.
