PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily calculate a reference value using a snag torque generation point as a reference by mounting a geomagnetic sensor on torque equipment. SOLUTION: A geomagnetic sensor 13 receives a voltage wave form output and determines the direction of torque equipment with respect to a geomagnetic direction within an angle range of 0 to 360 degrees. A declination detection output from the geomagnetic sensor 13 is digitized by a converter 103 and supplied to a microcomputer system 110. Then, when an output from a torque sensor 17 is equal to a set output value by the snag point setter 101 of the setter 101, a gate 111 is closed and by the output of this time, the snag declinationθ0 of the torque equipment with respect to the geomagnetic direction is stored in a memory 112.
