Interactive toy with speech detection module

The toy reacts to human speech input and to acoustic information such as text and/or music or sound delivered to a book. The toy is controlled by actuators such as motors and/or lamps. The output information is controlled by speech input and is stored on exchangeable memory cards which can be placed in the toy. A microphone is used for speech input and is connected to an analog-to-digital converter via an amplifier. A loudspeaker is connected to a digital-to-analog converter and a speech detection module to output music and/or speech.
