The pump unit (1) work chambers on the one hand are connected to a tank (T 5) via check valves (2a,3a) and via a pressure conduit with a pressure accumulator (4), via check valves (2b,3b) and via an outflow conduit. On the other hand, the work chambers are connected via a path valve (7) which is hydraulically controlled by the difference in pressure in a work chamber (8b) of a positioning cylinder (8) and a pressure in a work chamber of a sequence valve (9). The pressure conduit leading to the pressure accumulator is connected via the sequence valve with the work chamber of the hydraulic positioning unit (8), the piston (8a) or cylinder of which is loaded from the head end of a wagon spring (10).
