The sliding belt (6) engaging in the rotary body (1,2) for transmission of forces associated with the torque. The tractive belt (4) and the sliding belt work in conjunction with one another with the aid of a bearing system (8). Devices are provided for limitation or prevention of the longitudinal movement of the sliding belt. The bearing system incorporates a pump for feed of lubricant between the tractive belt and the sliding belt. The two belts have a bearing surface structure with narrowed formations for build-up of a pressure in the lubricant, for production of a hydrodynamic location.
