The spectacle cleaner has electric motors driving two rotating brushes. The motors are powered by a battery. The brushes are at the end of two pivoted arms (2). The brushes (4) are of a foam material and are interchangeable, and a cleaning agent is delivered as a spray onto the surface of the lenses. Covers are provided to protect the brushes, and a screwdriver to tighten mounting screws on the spectacle frames. A recharging station is also provided. The arms are opened out to place a brush on either side of the lens, and when the arms are closed a magnetic switch activates the electric motors, producing a simultaneous cleaning action on both sides of the lens.
