Prepn.of Hantaan virus comprises a)inoculating Hantaan virus original 76-118 which was separated from lung tissue of Apodemus agrarius corease in 1976 to mouse brain, b)proliferating the virus, c)selecting a good virus. Virus potency is more than two million on Vero E6 cells. Mouse LD 50 is 10(-9.61). Arrangement of 566 base of G1 gene at virus M segment genome is substd. adenin to guanin.
