A volume control apparatus of cassettes is provided to remove an auditory trouble due to instantaneous high volume. If user is power-on, a counter in an judgement part(20) and an address generator in a memory controller(30) are cleared, and if play key of the cassettes is push-on, the counter judges the input of the play key. At this time, the address generator in the memory controller(30) is generated an address signal and a data located in address in a memory part(40) is outputted a low volume when the input of the play key is odd number. When a volume that the user is desired is output, the data output of the memory controller(30) is stoped by inputting the 2'nd play key and a volume setting by the tuner is outputted.
