PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a high-quality stainless steel strip by removing polishing oil on the surface of the steel strip by arranging a wiping device on the outlet side of a polishing device in the advancing direction of the steel strip and removing foreign matter stuck to the surface of the steel strip with a cleaning device. SOLUTION: The stainless steel strip 1 is discharged from a discharging/ winding reel 2a, its direction is converted with a deflector roll 4, the strip is polished with a polishing device 26 and coiled with the discharging/winding reel 2b. The polishing liquid which is stuck to the surface of the stainless steel strip 1 whose surface flaws are removed with the polishing device 26 is removed with a 1st wiping device 6. Next, relating to the stainless steel strip 1, the foreign matter stuck on the surface is removed with a cleaning device 19. Relating to the cleaning device 19, by jetting cleaning solution to the surface and back faces with high-pressure sprays 19a, the stuck foreign matter is removed. Then, the generation of surface flaws caused by intrusion of the foreign matter is suppressed, the high-quality stainless steel strip 1 is stabilized and manufactured in high productivity. |
