Heat-exchanger especially for use as serpentine flat tube condenser

The heat exchanger has a tube block (1) formed by serpentine flat tubes (2a-2f) connected in parallel. On each side of the block is a plenum chamber, into which all the tube ends (8a,9a) at the same sides lead. The tube ends are assembled together to form a stack, with their wide sides towards each other and at a distance apart less than their width. These ends are inserted in a baseplate (10,11) so as to form a sealed joint. Each baseplate and a cover enclose the respective plenum chamber. The tube ends can bear against each other in a common opening in the baseplate, or can be inserted in separate openings with ribs between them.
