PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor machine for an air conditioner in which an external appearance is not deteriorated upon viewing from a lower surface when a main body is attached to an outdoor wall surface and a serviceability is improved upon its maintenance. SOLUTION: The upper part of a base 6 is divided into a machine chamber 8 and a heat exchanging chamber 9 by a partition plate provided upright on the base 6. A compressor 10 is provided in the machine chamber 8 and a heat exchanger 11 and an air supply fan 12 are provided in the heat exchanging chamber 9. On the base 6, the main body is constructed, which comprises a front panel 2 having a front face with an outlet port 2a, a bottom face and parts of both side faces formed integrally, a rear panel 3 having both side faces, a rear face, inlet ports 3a on one side face, and the rear face and an electrical instrument opening part on the other side space, an electrical instrument cover 4 with which the opening part is covered and a top surface panel 5 with which an upper face is covered. On the rear face of the heat exchanger 11, is provided an engaging fitting 13 with a substantially inverted L shape whose upper end protrudes rearward. A receiving fitting corresponding to the engaging is fitting 13 is provided on an outdoor wall so that the engaging fitting 13 is engaged with the receiving fitting. Thus, the main body is attached to the outdoor wall. |
