In the method, the melt is cooled below the melting point of ther fraction to be recovered, in a vessel equipped with heat exchangers. Fluid, low-melting fractions are run off from the solidified, higher-melting fractions. In the original process, heat exchanger surface (39) temperature is held above the melting point of the lower melting fractions and oils, during melt cooling. Following solidification of a deposit (43,53) on the heat exchanger surfaces (39), the fluid remainder is drained from the vessel (13). Also claimed is corresponding equipment to carry out the process. |
